In this week’s episode, meet Dana Strickland (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona and Texas, an EMDR Consultant and Brainspotter, as well as an approved clinical supervisor in Arizona.
Dana is a disabled Army Veteran and survivor of military sexual trauma (MST). Choosing to become a trauma therapist was a deeply personal and profound decision which helped her to create a meaning from pain in a way that served her growth instead of limiting it. Healing is not about restoring what was, it is a process of coming back into our SELF to intentionally create new and empowered meaning. Using EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and somatic interventions Dana helps women sort through the pieces of what feels broken, creating a mosaic of healing, embodiment, and spiritual growth, discovering and honoring who they came to be in the world. By taking intentional and aligned actions, you can experience fulfillment as a way of being.
Dana offers individual therapy both in-person and telehealth for adult clients in Arizona and telehealth only services in Texas. Jack, an emotional support Aussie, joins in-person sessions to bring comfort, grounding, snoot boops and fluffy cuteness. Dana is in-network with Aetna and BCBS and offer extended Brainspotting and EMDR sessions for self-pay clients.
